About Career Central at Convention
The New C3 (Career Central at Convention) is the hub for career services during ACPA’s annual convention. At the convention, professionals, educators, and students are expected to learn and network.
It is here that candidates and employers have a convenient forum to arrange on-site interviews, meet and discuss career options, participate in mock interviews along with other career development sessions, and explore career advancement opportunities. Recruitment of all levels of professionals in all functional areas of student affairs and higher education happens during The New C3—entry-level, mid-level, and senior level.
The New C3 will have even more energy in Las Vegas 2013 due to the co-location with NIRSA: Leaders in Collegiate Recreation. The Las Vegas co-location has provided both organizations with some exciting collaboration opportunities and the New C3 is one of them! The career services aspect of both annual conventions will be in the same location in Las Vegas, sharing space and resources and providing an incredible experience for all candidates and employers through expanded employment opportunities and an even greater candidate pool.
The New C3 will be held in Bally’s Grand Ballroom and Event Center at Bally’s Hotel.
The volunteers who coordinate and staff The New C3 are committed to serving both employers and candidates as effectively and efficiently as possible. Services available include, but are not limited to: position listings, interview scheduling, workshops, mock interviews, and resume reviews to assist both candidates and employers.
The New C3 at Las Vegas
Our software, powered by CSO Interfase, offers The New C3 candidates and employers online search and scheduling capabilities. CSO Interfase is used by many college career centers across the United States and has an excellent reputation. A diverse mix of experience level and position types make The New C3 a cost effective service, allowing employers and candidates to explore a multitude of options for their recruiting, hiring, and career management needs.
This software has a robust scheduling feature and provides users with an intuitive process to post a resume or position. Feedback from our constituents will be integrated into suggested changes for the New C3 2013 in Las Vegas.
All Convention registrants receive one complimentary candidate registration and/or one job posting per convention registrant to The New C3. Employers who want to interview on-site and/or post more than one job may purchase additional job postings and interview table spaces.
The New C3 will begin with orientations on Saturday, March 2, and full services from
Sunday, March 3 through Wednesday, March 6.
