Spanning more than 40 years, this is the oldest student affairs placement program in the country, and is historically the largest service with the highest number of on-site interviews. The Placement and Career Center provides candidates and employers with a convenient forum to meet and discuss career opportunities. The volunteers who coordinate and staff this center are committed to serving both employers and candidates as efficiently as possible.
Services include position listings, message center, interview scheduling, candidate resume books, information about colleges and universities, and workshops to assist both candidates and employers. ACPA’s Placement and Career Center also offers candidates and employers online search capabilities through the myPlacement Web service as well as online scheduling capabilities for employers. A diverse mix of experience level and position types make the ACPA Placement service a cost effective service where colleagues can explore multiple options for their careers.
Innovative use of technology coupled with the ability to still use resume books for searches as well as college/university resources (such as view books and catalogs) provide a great mix of search mediums. Known for the “personal touch,” ACPA Placement and Career Services will provide you with all the resources you need for a successful search including specific e-mail support addresses for candidates, employers and even placement volunteers.
And finally, all candidates and employers are included in the Annual
Convention – in ACPA you are a colleague from day one!
