Hosting a Virtual Social or Event at ACPA21
Whether your goal is to outreach to potential new students or employees, connect with alumni and friends, or uphold a longstanding ACPA tradition, hosting a virtual event for your institution, entity group, or organization is a great way to shape the ACPA21 Convention: A Virtual Experience!
In addition to socials, ancillary requests can be submitted to spaces used for non-educational programs. These could include meetings and other virtual get-togethers.
If a program will be educational in nature, it needs to be submitted as an Educational Session Program Proposal (due 2 October 2020).
Process for Requests
All ancillary requests must be submitted through the Ancillary Requests Form. As you’re entering your Ancillary Request please keep in mind that Convention is 1-17 March 2021. Review the ACPA21 Schedule-At-A-Glance for additional details about the Convention schedule.
Please provide as much detail as possible including the title and description of the event as you wish it to be listed in Convention materials, as well as details about what you hope to do at the virtual event and virtual platform features that will best meet your needs (i.e. webinar style presentation; breakout rooms, polls, etc.).
The deadline to submit requests is 15 January 2021. All requests received by the deadline are considered, scheduled, and confirmed based on available virtual space during the Convention. While we do our best to accommodate all requests, the ACPA21 Team cannot guarantee you will receive your first choice date and time selection. Submitters of ancillary space requests will receive additional details confirming the date, time, and platform for their virtual event at the end of January.
