ACPA’s value of social justice includes the importance of acknowledging and honoring individuals’ identities. To enact this value, Convention attendees are asked to be mindful of and use others’ gender pronouns. A graphic from Trans Student Educational Resources gives a brief overview of some pronouns; there are an infinite number of pronouns as new ones emerge in languages.
When you register for the Convention, you will have the opportunity to indicate your gender pronouns, if you have people use gender pronouns in reference to you. This selection will appear on the printed name badge during Convention. To confirm or change your gender pronouns on your registration, please contact Tricia Fechter Gates at the ACPA International Office.
All-Use Restrooms
All-Use restrooms will be available to all convention participants inclusive of all gender identities and expressions. Restrooms will be marked in convention information as we move closer to #ACPA19.
