Career Preparation & Advancement Support

Enhance Your Skills and Determine Your Own Career Development Goals

Beyond Career Central Snapshots, Roundtable Dialogues, and Pathways Discussion programming, the Career Central space at ACPA18 will be filled with additional professional development and career preparation opportunities for job seekers, students, and professionals, and faculty members. Our goal is to connect with every member of the ACPA community, no matter their position, experience, or level within the field. Making career development and advancement the primary focus of Career Central, we are embracing the belief that as professionals, we must commit to growing at every point in our careers—not just as graduate students and new professionals.

Information for Job Seekers

Similarly to the previous two Conventions, we will not be coordinating a formal interview process at ACPA18. We will, however, provide space for employers to conduct on-site interviews. Employers can reserve a table to conduct interviews or network with prospective candidates. We will also curate an on-site job posting space for employers to post information about and promote current and future openings.

Job seekers are strongly encouraged to utilize the Career Central online job posting board, where candidates can access and apply for multiple positions in advance of attending ACPA18. If you are hoping to connect in-person with a potential employer at ACPA18, please encourage them to utilize the online job posting board and to reserve a table through Career Central.

An Important Note for Candidates and Employers: All scheduling and communication with prospective candidates should come directly from employers to candidates. Any employer or candidate inquiries regarding reserving space can be directed to Tara Milliken.
