Things to do in Columbus
One of the best things about having a convention in downtown Columbus is how many different experiences are available to you within walking distance of the Convention Center. Right outside of the main entrance to the convention center, you can relax by shopping at local boutiques or enjoying world-class art galleries in the Short North Arts District. Hungry? Navigate over to the North Market for a quick snack, some hometown original Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream and/or wide variety of fresh, local, authentic food.

By night you can taste your way through the district’s many nationally renowned restaurants. For sports fans, the nearby Arena District is home to NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena and minor-league baseball’s Columbus Clippers at Huntington Park. Some favorite downtown activities include walking along the Scioto Greenways, offering 33 acres of green space along the riverfront, taking in a concert at nearby Express Live!, hopping on a CoGo bike, or relaxing with a locally produced coffee or beer after taking part in the Columbus Coffee Trail or Columbus Ale Trail.
