Career Central at ACPA17
As the name has evolved, so has the space! Career Central at ACPA will be filled with programming, career development opportunities, education sessions, and more! With a vision for connecting professionals from all disciplines and career levels, Career Central will be a space for all attendees to grow and advance while at ACPA17.
Our goal is to connect with every member of the ACPA community, no matter their position, experience, or level in the field. Making career development and advancement the primary focus of Career Central, we are embracing the belief that as professionals, we must commit to growing at every stop in our career – not just as graduate students and new or younger professionals.
This year, we will be facilitating an opportunity for ACPA members to have their resume/CV reviewed by other members of the association. We invite all individuals who would like feedback to submit their resume, no matter where they are in their career. We’ll connect each individual with another person who has committed to reviewing and providing feedback. Click on the links below to participate in this opportunity:
Similar to last year’s Career Café, we will not be conducting a formal interview process at ACPA. We will, however, provide space for employers and candidates to conduct interviews on-site. Employers and candidates can reserve space to conduct interviews, and we’ll even have a job board for individuals to post jobs for prospective employees.
ACPA will maintain the Career Central online job posting board, so you can continue to post position announcements and search for your ideal candidate through hundreds of qualified candidate resumes and profiles at any given time.
A professional photographer will be available onsite to take headshots for Convention attendees. To have a headshot taken, you will need to sign up in Career Central, and photographs will be taken in five-minute increments, on a first-come-first-serve basis. The photographer will be taking photos all day, Tuesday, March 28, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and from 2:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., and photographs will be emailed to each person who participates.
Those registered for #ACPA17 have the opportunity to participate in a mock interview on Monday, March 26 from 9:00 a.m.-noon or Tuesday, March 27 from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. If you would like to be interviewed, please fill out this form.
