Thank you for submitting a program proposal for ACPA17! The submission and review processes are now closed.  You can still begin thinking about a program submission for the 2018 Convention in Houston!

You can still access the CDMS submission database  by clicking here.

The ACPA17 Convention at its fundamental core is about professional development, learning, and engagement. The one area that connects both is the Convention Programs experience.

The program offerings at ACPA provide a valuable tool for student affairs and higher education colleagues to enhance their content knowledge and to be directly engaged with each other. Programs are the vehicle to sharing best practices and highlighting the significant work taking place on our campuses. Programs also serve as a key tool in expanding competency knowledge in the ACPA/NASPA Professional Competencies for Student Affairs Educators and provide the opportunity to engage in different ideas, areas, and perspectives.

Just as there are different learning styles and approaches, ACPA17 has organized a diverse slate of programs which provide a variety of ways to take advantage of the opportunity to share your potential, practice and expertise with the profession.

Whether presenting a traditional program (60 minute – General Session), a formal research paper, creating a poster (either Research –based or Practice-based), a mini-program (20 minute Spotlight session), or delving into a more competency focused session (75 minute Competency Based Session), there is an opportunity for you to contribute to the overall Convention experience. Click on the program categories to learn more about each of the different options that are available.

The ACPA17 Program Committee is hosting a series of Program Development Webinars designed to help you better understand the different program types and to better navigate the process. See below for dates.
