About Career Central at Convention

Career Central at Convention (The New C3) is the hub for career services during ACPA’s annual convention. At the convention, nearly 4,000 student affairs professionals, educators, and students gather to learn and network. It is here that candidates and employers have a convenient forum to meet and discuss career options, arrange on-site interviews, participate in mock interviews, and explore career advancement opportunities. Recruitment of all levels of professionals happens during The New C3—entry-level, mid-level, and senior level.

The volunteers who coordinate and staff The New C3 are committed to serving both employers and candidates as effectively and efficiently as possible. Services include, but are not limited to, position listings, interview scheduling, workshops, mock interviews, and resume reviews to assist both candidates and employers.

The New C3 at Louisville

A new software, powered by CSO Interfase, offers The New C3 candidates and employers online search and scheduling capabilities. CSO Interfase is used by many college career centers across the United States and has an excellent reputation. A diverse mix of experience level and position types make The New C3 a cost effective service, allowing employers to explore a multitude of options for their recruiting, hiring, and career management needs.

This solution, based on past participant feedback, has a robust scheduling feature and provides users with an intuitive process to posting a resume or position.

In addition to the new software, The New C3 has undergone another major change in 2012. All Convention registrants receive a complimentary candidate registration and/or one job posting per convention registrant to The New C3. Employers who want to interview on-site and/or post more than one job may purchase additional job postings and interview table spaces.

Additional job postings are $100 for members per posting; $200 for non-members. Additional interview tables (for all 3 days) are $75 for members per table; $150 for non-members.

The New C3 will begin with orientations on Friday, March 23, and full services from Saturday, March 24 through Monday, March 26.
