Registration Policies and Rates Eligibility
All individuals, including program presenters, attending the convention must pay a registration fee.
Student rates are for full-time students only. Those who are employed full-time and are taking courses are not eligible for these rates. In order to qualify for member rates, your membership with ACPA must be valid through April 2, 2008. If your membership is due prior to April 2, 2008, you will need to renew prior to February 28, 2008 to retain the member rate. Payment must accompany the registration form. Postmark date of payment will determine the registration rate if payment is sent after the registration form is submitted. Registrations are not transferable. In order to register for a Pre-Convention Workshop, you must be registered for the Convention. All candidates and employers using the Placement and Career Service Center must be registered for the Convention in addition to the Placement and Career Services Center to use the services.
This is the preferred method of registration. Members of ACPA will be asked to login using their ACPA username and password to receive member prices. Members who forgot their username and/or password will need to follow the online directions to have the information emailed to them or they can contact the International office to obtain. Nonmembers who wish to join and take advantage of member pricing will need to complete and submit their membership with their convention registration, allowing one business day for processing, if they do separate from convention registration, before they will be able to obtain member rates through the online registration system.
Registration and payment can be mailed or faxed if received or postmarked by February 28, 2008. Payment must accompany registration. Fax can be sent to 1.202.296.3286. Registration can be mailed to: Convention Registration, ACPA - College Student Educators International, One Dupont Circle, NW, Suite 300, Washington DC 20036-1188, USA.
Attendees may register on-site at the Convention during posted Registration Hours. Attendees are strongly encouraged to register prior to the convention to avoid unnecessary delays.
Payment can be made by check, money order, or credit card (MasterCard, Visa or American Express). Purchase orders will not be accepted. A service/processing fee of US$ 35 per registration will be assessed for returned checks, or changes in payment method or credit card after initial payment is processed.
Important: Send your registration form only once. Sending registration forms via fax, mail, and online results in multiple registrations and multiple charges to your credit card. A handling fee may be assessed to correct multiple payments as the result of multiple submissions.
To cancel a Convention or Next Generation registration and request a refund, a written request (e-mail is acceptable) must be sent to info@acpa.nche.edu or faxed to 1.202.296.3286. Telephone requests will not be honored. Refund checks or credits will be issued four to six weeks after the Convention. A refund request received or postmarked by January 31, 2008 will receive a full refund minus a US$ 35 handling fee.
A refund request received or postmarked between February 1 and February 28, 2008 will receive a refund equal to 50% of the appropriate registration fee. A refund request received or postmarked after February 28, 2008 will not be honored. Past Presidents Breakfast, Awards Luncheon, and Pre-Convention Workshop fees will be refunded in full if written request is received or postmarked by February 28, 2008. After February 28, 2008, no refund is available. Fees for Placement and Career Service registration, positions listing(s), and table(s) are not refundable.
All registrations with accompanying payments must be received or postmarked by this date to qualify for this rate. If filing online, payment must be submitted by 11:59 pm EST to receive the rate. This is also the last date to submit a written request for a full refund, less the US$ 35 handling fee.
