A successful educational program submission will address this theme and intentionally include one or two of the Professional Outcomes.

Educational program proposals must be received by Friday, September 14, 2007 at 11:59 pm EST with the exception of graduate student papers and poster sessions.

• Program proposals must be submitted online
• Please draft your proposal in a word processing software program to enable editing and spell checking, then cut and paste into the online system.
• Please do not include degree titles (such as Dr., Ph.D., M.S.W.).
• Each educational program proposal should be submitted to one program category only (for example, choose General or Sponsored).
• The coordinating presenter must be an ACPA member and register for the convention
• The coordinating presenter must verify that co-presenters will also register for the convention. Join ACPA.
• Programs must adhere to the convention theme Professionalism with Purpose - Advancing Inclusion and Expertise and target one or two of the Professional Outcomes.

The online proposal package requires the following information:

• Name, institution, email and phone number for each presenter
• Educational program category
• The one or two professional outcome(s) addressed by the program
• The program title (maximum 10 words)
• Keyword(s) that best describe the content of the program
• A program abstract suitable for publication (maximum 80 words)
• A detailed program description (maximum 500 words) containing:
  1. Introduction (purpose and rationale)
  2. Relevant conceptual/theoretical framework and brief review of the literature
  3. Method of program presentation (for example, lecture, small groups, multimedia,  discussion; and session outline)
  4. Learning objectives and measurable outcomes
  5. Closing/evaluation

Availability of audiovisual (AV) equipment is limited. LCD projectors are available, however, please only request one if it is essential to the successful presentation of your program. If you request an LCD, or if you indicate you will bring your own, you will need to indicate if your presentation will have sound incorporated in the program as it require additional equipment to be successfully connected. Note: Computers are not provided on-site, but presenters may bring their own.
